Dubai, May 27 – The 26th International Summit on Clinical and Laboratory Chemistry commenced today at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This is the first time in 70 years that the summit is being held in an Arab country. The event, organized by the Emirates Society for Genetic Diseases under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and the organization’s president, sees participation from representatives of 116 countries and 3,200 specialists worldwide, along with the heads of 62 research and international organizations.
Coinciding with this global event, the 8th International Conference on Genetic Disorders 2024 also began, focusing on genetics and genomics, microbiome discoveries, healthy longevity, stem cells, regenerative medicine, the genomics of rare diseases, and artificial intelligence for global health, as well as genomics in virtual reality.
His Excellency Humaid Mohammed Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences, inaugurated the exhibition accompanying the 26th International Summit on Clinical and Laboratory Chemistry and the 8th International Conference on Genetic Disorders 2024.
