students from Ajman University participated in the introductory session organized by the Renaissance Women’s Association in Dubai on genetic diseases. The session, held under the theme “Year of Zayed and the Genes of Happiness,” was presented by Dr. Maryam Matar, the founder and president of the Emirates Genetic Diseases Association.
Dr. Maryam Matar spoke during the session about the most important genetic diseases affecting families and communities, and she discussed preventive measures. The session witnessed the active participation of university students through numerous contributions that significantly enriched the dialogue.
At the end of the session, the participating students received certificates of appreciation from the Renaissance Women’s Association in Dubai in recognition of their involvement in the introductory session’s activities.
